This time I enjoyed it!

The initial seasons I found hard to watch. There were a lot of really odd looking scenes and angles, and the transformation sequences' CGI was offputting. As a big big Sailor Moon fan, it was upsetting and I dropped off from watching it after about episode 10.

I recently heard that season 3 had a new animation team, so I put myself through the first two seasons, and started 3. It looks really pretty, I love it and the new transformations!

It's nice because, as a kid in the UK they never showed past the Dark Lady arc. They kept showing reruns and I never saw how that season ended. Maybe they showed more series, but I never managed to catch it, and I ended up watching Card Captors and Dragonball instead. I didn't get to see past season 2 until I started buying the books and the DVDs (but the DVDs are rare in my country and I struggled to match prices haha)

So I'm super duper familiar with the first two series from the 90s and the first five books of the manga, I could tell you by heart what happens because it's been ingrained into me since I was a child. I have all the manga now, but ask me what happens after Prince Diamond fights Sailor Moon and things get a little fuzzy.
Now I'm up to date with the third season and feel like I understand it better. I also want to find the rest of the 90s anime and watch that too XD

Sorry for rambling I'm just so pleased to have rediscovered the love of my youth and probably the start of my girl power/anime kick of 15 years XD

If you're looking for more 90s anime fixes, check out CrunchyRoll. They have all of CCS and lots of other stuff, and it's SUBBED! No weird edits or censors. They have dubbed stuff too, but I like my anime unaltered. You can even watch stuff free. Highly recommended!
